Forecast Mode- From Manual Ops to Autonomous Compliance

Managing generation assets that are required to submit regulatory production plans is not only an optimization challenge- it’s a structural challenge of connecting regulation, trading, and operations into one coherent process.

In many organizations, the chain still looks like this:

Forecast → Plan building → Manual adjustments → Submission to TSO → Handling rejects → Dispatch to controller → Intraday monitoring and reactions.

Multiple interfaces.

Multiple failure points.

Heavy reliance on manual workflows.

Over the past few months, we’ve led the development of Forecast Mode, an operational framework designed to connect this entire chain into one continuous process.

Instead of separate tools, we built a unified layer that manages the workflow end-to-end:

  • Ingesting license and grid injection constraints
  • Building an optimized production and charging plan based on forecast
  • Automated submission to the TSO
  • Reject handling and plan updates
  • Dispatching the approved plan directly to the controller
  • Continuous operation according to the approved schedule

At the same time, the interface provides full visibility into both the approved plan and actual performance, with the ability to make intraday adjustments in response to changing weather conditions or unexpected operational events.

In practice, Forecast Mode translates into a significant reduction in operational workload and tighter alignment between regulatory approval and real-world energy ops execution.
