There are moments when you feel especially proud to represent your company and your team. Today in Sacramento is definitely one of them.
I’m at the 2026 Ignition Community Conference (ICC) where I had the privilege of receiving the Firebrand Award from Inductive Automation on behalf of Contel Smart Energy, recognizing our work on the EDF Power Solutions project.
The Firebrand Award celebrates some of the most innovative and impactful real-world projects built with Ignition. Seeing Contel Smart Energy recognized on this international stage, alongside outstanding technology and automation projects from around the world, is a tremendous source of pride.
For me, this award is first and foremost about our people. It reflects the expertise and creativity of our team to take on complex energy challenges and turn them into reliable solutions that work in the real world.
Standing here at ICC and receiving this award, I’m proud of how far we have come and even more excited about where we are going.
Congratulations to the entire Contel Smart Energy team, and thank you to EDF Power Solutions and Inductive Automation for the trust and recognition.
